Whether it’s a restored relationship, forgiveness for harm you’ve caused, restored health, or a bowl of rice when you’re hungry, Good News is always God’s response to your very specific bad news. It’s personal.
Here are some thoughts about that:
How have you experienced Good News in your life? What is the Good News you are longing for right now?
The moment I found your blog ‘Looking for God in messy places’ was Good News for me! Thanks 🙂
Thanks, Liz! I’m grateful that we’ve connected and walked the road together. BTW, I don’t know if I told you that Abingdon and agreed to title the next book Looking for God in Messy Place: A Book about Hope. Still a way off from publication date: April 20, 2021. But it’s in their hands now. I’ll keep you posted.
Great title Jake.. I feel it’ll connect with ‘us’ who feel stuck in a situation/behaviour and are totally mystified how to *find* and *experience* God’s love and power to transform – I used to feel like I’d somehow slipped through the cracks and got beyond reach. But as you’ve taught, faith isn’t what we *know* – it’s a *relationship* with a Divine person. So powerful! Just knowing stuff doesn’t change us … relationship does 🙂 I’m so glad to know that!
