  1. This makes me think of my profession as an educator. Each student is indispensable. We should treat them as the unique gifts from God they are.

  2. I keep thinking of the family/people who reared Collette and those supported her in her venture. Bless them! I have a relative who couldn’t wash her own hair at age 12 and had to move in with a cousin who encouraged her as she earned her high school degree. She’s now at technical school learning to be a chef and working in the kitchen at a restaurant.

  3. Terrific post — what a wonderful story — got me wandering to the kitchen to see what good baked thing there might be to eat — the heart, the warmth, the simple human decency of seeing the person instead of a label or concept shine through the piece.

  4. I love this blog. I think of church as being the body of Christ where we are reminded that we are a perfect “fit”. In our current society, our churches may be the only place where we are and always should be so accepted.

    We are all children of God and if we will just look at each other that way and act accordingly, we really could change the world.
